    Biographical Note

    Jerry Pournelle is an American science fiction author who was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1933. Pournelle served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Afterwards, he studied at the University of Washington and received a BS in psychology on June 11, 1955; an M.S. in psychology on March 21, 1958; and a PhD in political science in March 1964. Pournelle began writing science fiction stories in the 1960's and has gone on to write many more since then.

    Collection Scope and Contents

    This collection contains manuscripts, galley proofs, and other material regarding Jerry Pournelle, an American Science Fiction author and journalist. Materials document Pournelle's career as a science fiction author from the 60's until the 80's. Other materials such as research notes document Pournelle's methods when writing a number of his stories.
