Description
George Synnerberg (1882-1957), also known as Georgii Georgievich Siunnerberg, was a Russian Imperial Army officer and trade representative of Swedish-Finnish origin. The collection includes speeches and writings, typescripts, audiotapes, photographs and photograph albums, identification papers, correspondence, diaries, and other biographical materials.
Background
George Synnerberg (1882-1957), also known as Georgii Georgievich Siunnerberg, was a Russian Imperial Army officer and trade representative of Swedish-Finnish origin. He graduated from Corps de Pages (Pazhyeskiy korpus), served as an officer in the Life-Guard Semenovskii regiment (Semyonovsky leyb-gvardii polk), and later left military service to became a Russian commercial attaché in Shanghai. He died in California in 1957.
