    Biographical Note

    Nikolay Efremovich Andreyev (1908-1982) was a Russian émigré, professor, and author of works on Russian history and literature. He left Russia at 11 years old; he lived in Estonia, Prague, Germany, and Cambridge, England. He was arrested in 1945 and spent two years in Soviet prisons in Czechoslovakia and Germany.

    Includes correspondence with academic associates and with other Russian émigrés. Topics of the correspondence include Russian émigrés and their communities, organizations, and activities.
