Donor: Acquired from Mr. S. Martin, 2221 Divisadaro St., San Francisco, book dealer, in 1943, and others.

Alfred Hertz served as conductor for the Tivoli Theater, Cothen, The Netherlands, the Maurice Grau Opera Company, the Metropolitan Opera, New York, and the San Francisco Opera. He also served as conductor of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, and conducted many concerts at the Hollywood Bowl.
