Biographical / historical:

Antonio Campodonico was born in Italy in 1846 and settled in San Francisco in 1863 working as a produce merchant. He died in San Francisco in 1919. Another family member, Emelio Campodonico owned a mine in Hornitos, the Campodonico Mine, situated a few miles from that city. He also owned a saloon in Hornitos. Julia and Louise Campodonico, his wife and daughter, lived in Hornitos, California in the late 1890s.
