Biographical / historical:

Davis Louderback was born in Philadelphia in 1840. He came to California in 1849 and was admitted to the bar in San Francisco in 1864. From 1866 to 1872 he was prosecuting attorney and thereafter police judge in San Francisco for four terms. He died in 1918 at the age of 78.
