Biographical / historical:

"The Committee of Responsibility was organized in 1967 by medical professionals and other private citizens horrified by the casualty toll among Vietnamese citizens... One of COR's initial aims was to uncover this information, to put it before the American public, and then to develop a response for individual Americans to ease the sufferings caused by the war in Vietnam... The Committee's hope was to bring the most seriously injured children to the medical centers of the United Stats for the kinds of treatment unobtainable in Vietnam." [From a COR brochure].

Regional chapters were organized in Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Hawaii. These papers represent the activities of the San Francisco chapter, 1967-73.
