Collection consists of materials related to the career of screenwriter and novelist Daniel Mainwaring. Includes script materials for 9 produced motion pictures, drafts and rewrites of projects, episodes for several television series, fictional writings, and personal and biographical material. Some materials may carry Mainwaring's pseudonym, Geoffrey Homes.

Biographical / historical:

Daniel Geoffrey Homes Mainwaring was born Feb. 27, 1902 in Oakland, CA; educated at Fresno College; worked as a journalist for various newspapers; joined Warner Bros. publicity department (1934) later moving to RKO; author of popular action novels since the 1930s, he began screenwriting in the early 1940s; many of his works are under the pseudonym, Geoffrey Homes; his many screen credits include Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, The Last Outpost, and Against All Odds; died Jan. 31, 1977 in Los Angeles, CA.
