Scope and content:

Incoming correspondence, original calligraphy examples, printed ephemera, and photographic reproductions of various calligraphic styles, 4th century to present, with emphasis on contemporary calligraphers, particularly Fritz Knedel, Rudolf Koch, Oscar Ogg, Alfred Riedel, and Raymond DaBoll.

Custodial history:

Gift of Theodore Jung, 1967 and 1981.

Arrangement:

Examples of calligraphy are arranged alphabetically by the name of the calligrapher. Also includes various envelopes addressed to Theo Jung, plus various examples of printed calligraphy. Oversized examples of calligraphers' works are stored in an oversize portfolio.
