Scope and content:

This volume contains extracts and transcripts made in 1877 for H. H. Bancroft from records at that time in the Archives of the Bishopric of Monterey and Los Angeles. Included are excerpts from the Libros de Patentes from the following missions: San Buenaventura (pp. 1-48); Soledad, (p. 49); San Miguel (pp. 50-54); San Antonio de Padua (pp. 55-66); San Diego (pp. 67-68); San Juan Bautista (pp. 69-73); Purísima Concepción (pp. 74-76); Santa Inés (pp. 77-79); Soledad (pp. 80-81); San Luis Obispo (pp. 82-87); Santa Cruz (pp. 88-90).
