Scope and content:

The collection contains eleven original cartoon line drawings by F. M. Howarth, on boards of varying sizes, which appeared in the old Life Magazine, 1889-1890. Howarth, an American artist known for his stylized characters, also drew for other humor magazines of the day, such as Puck.
