Background

Scope and content:

The Hank Schwager Collection consists of radio broadcasts of "The Art of Jazz" program, hosted by critic Martin Williams in the early 1960's. The shows were recorded off-air from KGMG in Portland, Oregon by Hank Schwager on twenty-seven 7" open reel tapes. The Schwager Collection also holds an interview with pianist/composer Andre Previn by Ted Hallock, recorded by Hank Schwager in 1959.
