Collection consists of 15 boxes of files relating to detective fiction and 841 titles of books and journals principally relating to detective fiction. Includes film noir scripts and reviews, materials on Los Angeles, tough guy fiction, pulp fiction, material on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The island of Dr. Moreau, Dracula, and Frankenstein, and on Dashiell Hammett, Paul Cain, Raoul Whitfield, John D. MacDonald, Ross MacDonald, and James M. Cain. Also includes a bibliography and chronology of crime fiction and crime fact.
