A manuscript pocket diary of U.S. citizen [?] Keller, traveling by steamship, with numerous stops at ports from Valparaiso, Chile, to Panama and Colon, recording impressions of shipboard life, fellow passengers, sights and customs observed along the way, sometimes interspersed with prejudicial comments.
