Scope and content:

The papers consist mostly of correspondence relating to Tupit͡syn's Esperanto teaching activities. Additional materials include writings and printed matter concerning promotion of Esperanto, especially in Latvia and the Soviet Union.

Biographical / historical:

Gennadiĭ Ivanovich Tupit͡syn was a Russian Esperantist, linguist, and teacher. He was also an active member of the Latvian Esperanto Society and the Universal Esperanto Association (UEA).
