The Catherine Caufield papers contain correspondence, notes, memoranda, reports, studies, and printed matter related to the World Bank and its effect on the economies of developing countries.
Catherine Caufield was a British author and journalist who served as an environmental correspondent for New Scientist. The collection consists of Caufield's research files for Masters of Illusion: The World Bank and the Poverty of Nations, a book which was critical of the World Bank. In addition to printed matter, correspondence, and Caufield's notes, the collection includes internal World Bank documents, such as memoranda and reports.
