Abstract:
Anthony and Nancy Lawrence were involved in a variety of television projects (ca. 1960s-1980s). The collection reflects their involvement as writers and producers in the television industry and includes files of various script drafts, story outlines, and concepts for what appears to be both produced and unproduced television programming. Additionally there is manuscript material for a novel by the Lawrences, titled Kisses from the Wolf.

Scope and content:

The collection consists of material related to the careers of Anthony and Nancy Lawrence. The collection reflects the Lawrence's involvement with a variety television projects and includes files of various script drafts, story outlines, and concepts for what appears to be both produced and unproduced television programming. Additionally there is manuscript material for the novel Kisses from the Wolf by the Lawrences. Television series projects include Columbo, Coronet Blues, Gibbsville, Lady Blue, The Phoenix, and The Twilight Zone, among others. Television movie projects include Dark Mansions, Elvis, Liberace, a possible adaptation of Kisses from the Wolf, and a project about Montgomery Cliff, titled, Monty. Also in the collection are a small number of scripts by others which may have been submitted to the Lawrences for production consideration or used as ideas or research.

Biographical / historical:

There is little biographical information available about Anthony Lawrence or Nancy Lawrence. Anthony Lawrence's credits include a number of television programs produced during the 1960s through the 1980s including the television series Bonanza, Ben Casey, Hawaii Five-O, The Rat Patrol, and The Sixth Sense, among others and the TV movies Elvis, Liberace, and Dark Mansions. Nancy Lawrence's credits as writer and producer include the television series Jessie, The Phoenix, Lady Blue, and The Twilight Zone as well as the TV movies Liberace and Dark Mansions.
