The collection contains a typescript autobiography, with photographs, of Albert G. Conrad, professor of electrical engineering and the first dean of the College of Engineering at UCSB (1961-1970). Conrad previously was professor and chair of electrical engineering at Yale University for many years, and also was known for his work as a violin-maker.

A copy of the autobiography has been cataloged and also is housed in UCSB Special Collections (Call # LA2317.C623.A3 1979).
