Biographical / historical:

The Office of Sponsored Research (OSR), under the Office of Research of Administration (ORA), provided pre-award and post-award administrative services for sponsored projects. It collaborated with partner groups in other central and school offices to coordinate research administration services, systems, and processes. OSR reviewed and endorsed sponsored projects proposals, negotiated and accepted awards, and issued subawards on behalf of Stanford. In addition, the office established accounts in the financial system and fulfilled sponsor's financial reporting requirements.
