35mm slides taken by Linda J. Long, Public Services Librarian in the Department of Special Collections, showing damage to the West Wing of Green Library which housed the Department, as well as damage to other parts of the Library and staff activities; and slides showing the beginning of reconstruction in the West Wing, 1995.

Biographical / historical:

The West Wing of the Cecil H. Green Library was designed by Beaux Arts architect Arthur Brown Jr. and dedicated in 1919; the East Wing was opened in 1980.
