Irwin Allen Ginsberg was born on June 3, 1926 in Newark, New Jersey to Louis and Naomi (Levy) Ginsberg. American poet, author,
lecturer, and teacher who was one of the core members of the Beat Generation of American author in the 1950s and early 1960s
along with Jack Kerouac, William S. Burroughs, and Neal Cassady. He died of complications of liver cancer on April 6, 1997.
