Scope and content:

This collection contains photographs of stage and movie sets, some from Fanchon & Marco stage productions from the 1920s and 1930s, the Monrovia Feature Film Company, 1910-1920, and the S & A Company, Niles, CA [Essanay Studios], 1910-1920, as well as many unidentified set photographs.

Many of the photographs are unidentified. Descriptions of the sets are provided in brackets. Information on the back of the photos is provided when available.

The photographs are organized into seven series: Cast Photos; Fanchon & Marco Ideas; Stage Sets with people; Stage Sets without people; Monrovia Film Company; S & A Company, Niles, CA; Interior Film Sets.
