Mother Mrs. E.L. Simo heard Marino broadcast two weeks ago from a Japanese radio station. He said "Hello mother, dad, and sis. Don't worry. I am all right." Cyrus W. Abbott, Jr., age 29, is son of secretary of Oakland Park Department and nephew of Dr. John F. Slavich, Mayor of Oakland. He went to Wake Island as a plumbing engineer and is a former UC student and football player. Copy negative.
