Scope and content:

Note enclosed in sleeve: Command Car of Captain A.C. Miller, 53rd Infantry crossing the San Antonio River near Pleyto at a ford constructed by the 13th Engineers. Camouflage is of paint and straw stuck on with a mixture of flour and water and was designed by Lieutenant Colonel Leon L. Kotsebue. Both 53rd and 13th Engineers are Red forces. Includes Private George F. Warren, Sergeant L.F. Verstraten and Corporal E.C. Newton.
