Scope and content:

The Scientology at the Marina records include some administrative records regarding the office but consists largely of L. Ron Hubbard and Church of Scientology published materials from that period or before.

The collection is organized into three series: Administrative Materials, Educational and Course Material, and Publications by L. Ron Hubbard and others.

The publication are arranged chronologically.

Biographical / historical:

The Scientology of the Marina records are part of a larger donation to the Graduate Theological Union Library by Allysyn Kiplinger, whose father, Harry Dell Kiplinger, managed a fledgling office of the Church of Scientology in the San Francisco Marina district from 1970 to 1972. There are some records that document the activities of the new office, but most of the material is from the Church of Scientology.
