The David Vhay drawings of the Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Jackson Jr. house span 3 linear feet and date from 1940. The collection is comprised of nine architectural drawings in the form of blueprints. Drawings include: sections, floor plans (first and second), elevations (exterior), and details.

Biographical / historical:

David Vhay was born in Bloomfield Hill, Michigan on December 10, 1908. He attended Princeton University where he received both his bachelor’s of science degree as well as his master’s in architecture, in 1934. Out of school he created his own practice in Nevada. Later he was a partner in the firm Vhay & Grow, and subsequently in the firm Vhay, Ferrari & Widmer which was established in 1961 and dissolved in 1964. David Vhay was registered to practice architecture in Arizona, California, and Nevada. He died in 1986.
