Gilbert Baker was an artist, gay rights activist, and designer of the rainbow flag as a symbol for LGBTQ pride. Baker donated 4 signed oversize rainbow flags backed on white canvas to GLBTHS. The collection also includes Bakerβs silkscreens from the Gay Pride celebrations in 1978-1979 and matted photographs from a Rainbow Flag Exhibit from 2002 at GLBTHS.
