Background

Scope and content:

Mr. Lady Records was an independent queercore and feminist label founded by Tammy Rae Carland and Kaia Wilson in North Carolina in 1996. It relocated to San Francisco around 2002. Artists on the label included Le Tigre, the Butchies, the Quails and Sara Dougher. The label ceased operations in the summer of 2004. This collection includes CDs, t-shirts and ephemera.
