Scope and content:

Record Series 779 contains oral history transcripts and audio recordings donated to UCLA's Center for Oral History Research, and interviews from the Center for Iranian Jewish Oral History (CIJOH), many of which are in Persian.

This is an inactive record series; no additional University records are expected to be added.

Biographical / historical:

Since its inception in 1959 the Center for Oral History Research - formerly known as the Oral History Program - has received a number of donated interviews. In some instances these interviews have been transcribed but not edited; in other cases they remain as audiotape recordings. All materials are available to researchers. However, donor agreements (or lack therof) for some interviews may preclude copying or quotation.

Further information about the donated oral history interviews can be obtained through the Center for Oral History Research offices.

Iranian Jewish oral histories were created and compiled by members of the Center for Iranian Jewish Oral History (CIJOH) in Los Angeles, California.
Processing information:

Collections are processed to a variety of levels depending on the work necessary to make them usable, their perceived user interest and research value, availability of staff and resources, and competing priorities. Library Special Collections provides a standard level of preservation and access for all collections and, when time and resources permit, conducts more intensive processing. These materials have been arranged and described according to national and local standards and best practices.
