The motion picture films in the Hoover Institution Archives collections consist of home movies, documentaries, publicity films, newsreels, television shows, speeches, and many other films that are not commercially available, and are exclusive to the Hoover Institution Archives. The films document historical events such as the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Russian Revolution, World War II, and many other events.
