The collection contains posters salvaged from public places in San Francisco by Redding. Most of these posters are 82 x 11 inch photocopied handbills for new wave, punk, or hard-core groups performing at local bars and nightclubs. Redding also collected AIDS and queer activist posters of the late 1980s and early 1990s, as well as a substantial number of posters for performance events.
