Scope and content:

This collection contains the marriage vows, marriage license and certificate and domestic partnership documents of Scott Phipps and Andrew Marsh, 2002-2004. There are domestic partnership documents from the State of California and the City of Oakland. Scott and Phipps were married in February 2004, during the brief period when San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom gave a directive to the city-county clerk to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
