Title, purchase, mortgage and assessment documentation for the purchase of 3 lots in Burbank, California by Thomas Story in 1875. The abstract, prepared by the Los Angeles Abstract Company in 1890, includes documents dated between 1888 and 1890.

Biographical / historical:

Thomas Story arrived in Burbank in 1880, and was a member of the original Board of Trustees selected to govern the city upon its incorporation in 1911. The Board selected him to serve as Burbank's first mayor (1911-1912). Story was a businessman who ran a hardware store on San Fernando Road.
