- Biographical / historical:

Claude Stoller (born 1921) was a faculty member in the Department of Architecture at the University of California. His main passion centered on social issues such as inequities in housing, community concerns about redevelopment plans, and creating energy-efficient designs. Stoller first meet Fuller in 1955 when he helped bring Fuller to Washington University and the two men maintained their relationship over the years.
