Igor Chnee (Igorʹ Shnee; Игорь Шнее) was born in Poland to Russian parents. Following World War II, he immigrated to Brazil, where he pursued a career in business. The collection comprises a photograph album documenting Russian immigrant communities in Poland, prints depicting Chnee in Brazil, and documents pertaining to Chnee's father, Anatolii Viktorovich Chnee.

Background

Scope and content:

The collection comprises a photograph album documenting Russian immigrant communities in Poland, including Boy Scout groups, both before and during World War II. The album includes prints featuring Sergei Voitsekhovskii and Boris Martino. Additional separated prints depict Chnee in Brazil, including images of him welcoming Russian Federation Vice President Aleksandr Rutskoi, as well as Mikhail and Raisa Gorbachev. A few documents pertain to Chnee's father, Anatolii Viktorovich Chnee, who served as adjutant to General P. N. Vrangel'.

Igor Chnee (Igorʹ Shnee; Игорь Шнее) was born in Poland to Russian parents. Following World War II, he immigrated to Brazil, where he pursued a career in business. In São Paulo, he operated a retirement home that primarily served the Russian émigré community.
