This collection consists of the scripts, production information, photographs, and realia of American radio, television, and film producer Sandy Howard (1927-2008). These include scripts, budgets, and schedules for such films as "Vice Squad" (1982), "Hollywood Vice Squad" (1986), "A Man Called Horse" (1970), and more.

Biographical / historical:

Sandy Howard (1927-2008) was an American radio, television, and film producer. Howard wrote short stories for magazines such as Liberty, and worked as a publicist for Broadway shows until he became a director for the Howdy Doody (1947-1960) television program at the age of nineteen. He went on to produce the Captain Kangaroo show (1955-1984), and he also co-created the television program The Merry Mailman (1950-1956). Howard began producing films beginning in the 1960s, some notable works are A Man Called Horse (1970), Vice Squad (1982), and King of Africa (1968).
