    Scope and Contents

    This collection consists of the scripts and papers of American cinematographer and cameraman William Hines. The papers include notes and clippings for story ideas and research for books about cinematography. Projects highlighted in the script collection include the television series "Mary," "Dear John," and "Ned and Stacey."

    Biographical / Historical

    William E. Hines (1923-2000) was an American cameraman and cinematographer who was active from 1959 through 1996. He worked on feature movies and television programs, including Attack of the Jungle Women (1959), The A-Team (1983), and "Ned and Stacey" (1996). He authored two books, Operating Cinematography for Film and Video: A Professional and Practical Guide, and Job Descriptions for Film, Video and Cgi.
