Scope and content:

The collection consists of correspondence, notes, photographs, negatives, memoranda, reports, studies, clippings, printed materials, sound recordings of interviews, and videocassettes related to Boris Yeltsin, President of Russia. The materials were assembled in preparation for a projected biography of Yeltsin.

Biographical / historical:

Leon Aron is a senior fellow emeritus at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where he focuses on Russian domestic and foreign policy, U.S.-Russia relations, and the economic, social, and cultural dimensions of Russia's post-Soviet development. A prolific writer and editor, Dr. Aron is the author of several books, including Yeltsin: A Revolutionary Life (St. Martin's Press, 2000), the first in-depth biography of Boris Yeltsin.
