This collection was created to house the course project materials created by oral history students in programs across the Claremont Colleges.
Offered each Spring semester, the CGU History 304/Introduction to Oral History Methodology course trains graduate students in both the theoretical and practical aspects of conducting oral histories. Themes for the course have included "Women of Claremont" and "Women of Color in Southern California." Students interviewed a wide range of women including artists, academics, activists, students, and professionals.
The Pomona College Oral History Project was a three-year project led by Richard Fass, Marjorie Harth, and Don Pattison to document the history of Pomona College from the late 1960s through the first decades of the 2000s. The project collected oral history interviews with former Pomona College trustees, faculty, and staff who contributed to the college's emergence as national leaders in the liberal arts college sector of higher education.
