This collection consists of numerous rare reports from the World Commission on Dams and the World Bank.

Scope and content:

The collection consists of source material and notes for journalist Jacques Leslie's book Deep Water: The Epic Struggle Over Dams, Displaced People, and the Environment. Included are articles and books used in preparation for the work, correspondence; pamphlets of projects on environmental impact and sustainability; CD's; research journals, reports/data on topics such as water flow, temperture, and deposit amounts; and maps on the topics of geology, waste deposit, and location. The authors novel discusses the impacts of dams in Africa, Australia, and India and how the World Bank's influence with the World Comission on Dams effects these countries.
