The Crow Canyon Lodge No. 551 records (1920’s-2014) consist of DVDs of Lodge events and membership records. DVDs (2004-2014) include photographs and videos from Constitutional Observance Day, Golden Veteran Awards, Hiram Awards, and Teacher of the Year Awards. Membership records (1920’s-1990’s) include records from consolidated Lodges Fremont No. 497, Lakeshore No. 551, Tri-Square No. 551, Dimond No. 603, Chateau Thierry No. 569, Lake Chabot No. 770, and possibly other surrounding lodges. Biographical / historical:

Crow Canyon Lodge No. 551 is composed of eight lodges from Alameda County, California, that merged over the course of several years from 1986-1997. These lodges are: Bay View Lodge No. 401, Fremont Lodge No. 497, Lakeshore Lodge No. 551, Chateau Thierry Lodge No. 569, Dimond Lodge No. 603, Castro Valley Lodge No. 713, Lake Chabot Lodge No. 770, and Ashland Lodge No. 798. In 1997, Tri-Square Lodge No. 551 contacted Crow Canyon Lodge No. 569 to see if they would be interested in discussing a merger between the two lodges. Both Lodges agreed, and on September 1st, 1997, the Grand Lodge of California approved the merger for the Lodges to become Crow Canyon Lodge No. 551. The Lodge meets at the Castro Valley Masonic Center on Crow Canyon Road in Castro Valley, California.
