This contains a 37-page typed manuscript entitled "Early Days in Arizona as seen by Thomas Thompson Hunter." The folder also contains a WPA individual manuscript form with the following description:

Contents in brief are his trip to the cattle market through Apache country; stories of Indian warfare; government mismanagement of Indian situation; mention of several Indian customs; tells of first marriage in what is now Phoenix; recounts the settlement of Salt River Valley; sketch of William H. Harrison. Also tells the story of the sacrifice made by Coch Ah Nay's mother. Includes a brief outline of Clay Buford's life as a scout. Recounts the activities of Eskimogim (Eskiminzin?), Hu, and Geronimo against Mexicans and whites. Tells of rest stations for weary riders. mentions renegade schemes, and the killing of John Riley.
