Background

Scope and content:

SBMAL holds copies of the records of all 21 Alta California Missions. These are primarily printed from microfilm scans and bound into volumes according to mission and sacrament. Some of the copies are illegible. SBMAL holds the original sacramental registers for the Santa Bárbara Mission. Other copies came from other sources, such as Archdiocesan and Diocesan Archives in California. To see which volumes are available for each mission, check our Inventory of Sacramental Registers: https://www.sbmal.org/_files/ugd/224541_4931fca13971457d8cbdcb51a6e25912.pdf
