Biographical / historical:

W. G. Clark Printing made its debut at 1230 J Street in Sacramento in January 1930. The printshop was started by W. G. Clark, who came to Sacramento in 1908 and had previously been a partner in the News Publishing Company. After his death in 1932, the company was operated by his widow, Florence, and continued to be run by the Clark family for many decades. The business moved to 2120 P Street in the late-1970s upon the closure of the Sacramento Public Market, the retail complex in which the business was located.
