The Earl Ofari Hutchinson Manuscript Collection (2016, 2018, 2023, 2024) contains both published and manuscript copies of six books by Earl Ofari Hutchinson, an author and political analyst. Earl Ofari Hutchinson (October 8, 1945) was born in Chicago, Illinois and relocated to Los Angeles in 1961. He graduated with a BA in sociology from California State University, Los Angeles; and with a MA in humanities from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Hutchinson is an author of multiple books on race and politics; as well as the host of a live call-in program on 90.7 KPFK-FM called "The Hutchinson Report". He has also been a guest commentator on CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and RT News; contributor to Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, and The Huffington Post; co-host for the "Al Sharpton Show"; and publisher of thehutchinsonreport.net. Hutchinson is also the founder of Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable (LAUPR) which provides grant funding to non-profit grassroots organizations. Hutchinson has a daughter Sikivu Hutchinson, who is a feminist activist and author; and a son Fanon Hutchinson who is a videographer and producer of short films.
