Scope and content:

This collection consists of realia and ephemera from the 1932 and 1984 Olympic Games, both having taken place in Los Angeles, California. For the 1932 Olympics, these items include a Canadian uniform jacket, two Olympic rules books with one in English and one in French, newspaper clippings, tickets, magazines, programs, correspondences, a German recap book, maps with sport locations, and a seat pass. For the 1984 Olympics, these items include photographs, a backpack, a t-shirt, flags, programs, newspapers, magazines, Olympic participation medals, press identification, a stadium seat pass, tickets, a volunteer staff uniform which included a full track suit, a game schedule, posters, Olympic stamps on envelopes, Olympic manuals with maps of locations and rules, lapel pins, newsletters, souvenirs, a hat, an official staff blazer, newspaper clippings, public relations folders, correspondences, a volunteer handbook, a staff handbook, a booklet of USC Olympians, an Olympic village booklet, bulletins, a directory, ticket order form and guide, schedule of events, a staff folder, youth handbooks, media guides and journalist guides, an opening ceremony booklet, committee reports, a playing card game, a closing ceremony card stunt pack, calendars, Olympic uniform shoes, and two volleyball nets.
