Robert Ben Nofsinger (July 11, 1963-January 19, 1993) was a San Francisco-based music composer, pianist, singer, Chinese language teacher, and gay man. He died of AIDS in 1993. He was active in the Society of Gay and Lesbian Composers (SGLC). The collection includes original musical compositions, lyrics, and sheet music by Nofsinger, audiocassette tape recordings of his music and concerts, including the song β€œThe Shivering Tree” and the SGLC Summer Showcase 1993, and programs and other material related to the Society of Gay and Lesbian Composers and various church performances.
