Scope and content:: The collection consists of trade publications such as newsletters, periodicals and reports; photographs, awards that Ms. Lawrence received in certificates, plaques and trophy format and a few clippings pertaining to her life and career as a film editor.
Biographical / historical:: Most of Viola Lawrence's 30 year career was spent at Columbia Pictures. She was nominated for Academy Awards for her work on the films Pal Joey and Pepe.
