    Abstract: Administrative records, articles, bibliographies, clippings, correspondence, meeting notes, photographs, and project proposals, 1975-2008, primarily documenting Teresa DeCrescenzo's social work on behalf of at-risk lesbian and gay teenagers. Decrescenzo served as the president of the board of directors at the Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center and started Gay and Lesbian Adolescent Social Services (GLASS) in West Hollwyood for at-risk lesbian and gay teenagers.

    All requests for permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the ONE Archivist. Permission for publication is given on behalf of ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives at USC Libraries as the owner of the physical items and is not intended to include or imply permission of the copyright holder, which must also be obtained.

    One restricted file of staff records and therapist evaluations. The remainder of the collection is open to researchers.

    Biographical / Historical

    In the early 1980s, Teresa DeCrescenzo worked as a social worker with the Los Angeles County Probation Department and served as the president of the board of directors at the Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center. In 1984, she quit her job with the county and started Gay and Lesbian Adolescent Social Services (GLASS) with a six-bed group home for at-risk lesbian and gay teens in West Hollywood. The organization closed operations in 2008. DeCrescenzo was a long-time partner of Betty Berzon.

    Scope and Contents

    Administrative records, articles, bibliographies, clippings, correspondence, meeting notes, photographs, and project proposals of Terry DeCrescenzo, 1975-2008. The records primarily document DeCrescenzo's LGBT-related social work, most notably with at-risk LGBT teenagers.
