Scope and content:

This collection contains the faculty/student newsletter and calendar of events for the USC School of Medicine, dating from 1963 to 1971. The two publications consist of the "Calendar of Medical Events" (November 1963-December 1971) and the "Faculty-Students Notes" newsletter (March 1965-December 1971). The "Faculty-Student Notes" is typically 2-6 pages and contains information about the school and events including a Dean's message, fellowships and grants, lectures, and promotions and appointments. Some scattered issues are missing from the collection.

Biographical / historical:

The University of Southern California School of Medicine was established in 1885. In 1999, the school was named the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
